Birth Workers, Mid-Wives, & Doula Level 1 Herbalism Training Workshop

Calling all Black and Indigenous People of Color Birth Workers, Mid-Wives, & Doulas!

Here’s an amazing opportunity to expand your skills and integrate mother nature’s most sacred plant allies into your Birth Work practice by learning to work with medicinal herbs.

This 2-Day Herbalism Training Workshop is centered around helping birth workers, midwives, and doulas reclaim their inherent connection to earth medicine. It will introduce you to the world of herbalism, traditional healing, and equip you 12-Hours of Beginner's Herbal Studies, a level 1 Herbalism Certification and provide you with the wisdom and skills you need to expand your sacred practice as a Child Birthing Guide.

The objective of this Workshop is to help birth workers build a foundation in herbalism to support women through pregnancy and prenatal care naturally in alignment with the divine mother earth. This hands-on training workshop will teach you the basics of herbal medicine in childbirth from both an ancestral and scientific lens. 

We will spend the first half of each workshop day introducing you to the world of plant magick, exploring the traditional use of herbs for prenatal care,  learning their healing properties, building your language of herbalism, and teaching you safe and proper ways to work with the earth to treat those common issues that occur during the early stages of pregnancy.

We will cover how to use herbs for remedies such as Prenatal Care, Yeast Infection, Urinary Tract Infections, Headache, Morning Sickness, Fatigue, Heartburn, Constipation, and more.

On the last day of the workshop, we will spend time practicing and working directly with plants and flowers to create Herbal Preparations to build your Birthworker Herbal First Aid Kit. All preparations are infused with all-natural plant materials that safely support each developmental stage of pregnancy Mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Students will make Herbal Teas, Herbal Baths, Herbal Soaks, Herbal Infused Oils, Herbal Salves, Pastes, and learn how to make Herbal Compressions, and Poultices and walk will walk away with:
