About the Event
Foraging or "wild crafting" is what we refer to as harvesting plants from their natural environment. It is the art and science of extracting plants for their food benefits, nurition, and medicinal purposes.
The experience alone is beautifully therapeutic and it is much more than going out and looking for plants. Instead, we learn to offer our presence to plants, awaken our senses, and let them call upon us to teach us about how they can work with us to facilitate healing.
We will embark on a journey into the Fields, Visit the Community Herb Garden, Identifiy Plants, Explore their folk story, Teach you how and when it's the perfect time to harvest them and learn how our ancestors leaned into plant allies for wisdom.
On this particular nature adventure, our Herbalist will lead our group into the wild to explore the 5 plants listed below.
- Red Clover
- Yellow Dock
We aim to awaken you to the ways our of ancestors and return to the magical healing powers of mother earth. (In case of rain or changes in the weather, we will closely monitor it, make adjustment if needed, and notify everyone.)
This is a Community Healing Space and an event that welcomes all things wild, including you. We honor individual personhood of all people and celebrate them in it with love.
